Thanksgiving Tips with @thechirpingmoms!

Now that Thanksgiving is right around the corner (literally!), we've asked Courtney of @thechirpingmoms for some of her top tips to get the kiddos involved! Read more below.
1. Thanksgiving Snack Mix in DIY Turkey Cups
Snack Mix:
Chex, Buggles, candy corn, dried cranberries, white chocolate chips, pretzels, sunflower seeds

Turkey Cups:
Brown paper cups with a turkey face made out of: large google eyes, orange paper & a red Sharpie
2. No Bake Pumpkin Pie Jars
These are easy, tasty and a fun twist on traditional Thanksgiving pumpkin pies. Kids can make them on their own and proudly serve guests on Thanksgiving Day. We used mini mason jars but any glass jar or bowl will work. You could also make one big no-bake pie using the same recipe. We just think the mini ones are extra cute.
Ingredients:
1 can of pumpkin (15 oz)
1.5 teaspoon cinnamon
5 tablespoons of brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice
2 tablespoons of heavy cream
Cool whip
Whipped Cream
Graham crackers
Directions:
- Place about 10 graham crackers into a zip lock and smash them up to make graham cracker crumbs. - Set aside.
- Mix together the pumpkin, cinnamon, brown sugar, pumpkin pie spice and cream.
- Next, put a layer of graham cracker crumbs in the bottom of the jars followed by a layer of cool whip, followed by a layer of the pumpkin mix. Repeat the 3 layers. Top off each jar with some whipped cream and a square of a graham cracker. I suggest putting the jars in the fridge and doing the whipped cream top right before serving.

3. DIY Napkin Rings
We love having handmade items on our Thanksgiving table. Whether it's a cute preschool craft that comes home as a centerpiece, place cards made by the kids or simple handmade napkin rings. This year the girls got to work crafting these.
All you need are: paper towel or toilet paper rolls, ribbon, glue and twine. Cut the paper towel/toilet paper rolls into pieces that are the width of whatever ribbon you chose. Cut strips of ribbon that are long enough to wrap around the roll. Put glue on the roll and cover it with ribbon. Finish it off by tying the twine or a thin ribbon around it. Slide them onto your napkins and you're all set!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
